work?

how do you politely tell your boss that... yes, i have absolutely no work to do... yes, i have spent the entire afternoon writing five paged long emails to everyone i know... and no, i would not like anymore work to do beacuse i would like to spend the rest of the afternoon finishing the five paged long emails... without loosing your job? any suggestions?
